An Ambassador for Christ and Your Company [Sales Professional #69]

An Ambassador for Christ and Your Company [Sales Professional #69]

Scripture: “We are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.” — 2 Corinthians 5:20 (ESV)

Devotional

In sales, you represent your company—its values, promises, and brand. But as a follower of Jesus, you also carry a higher ambassadorship: you represent Christ. Every interaction is both a professional and spiritual representation.

An ambassador doesn’t speak on their own behalf; they reflect the heart and interests of the one who sent them. Your conduct, tone, and choices either align with Christ’s character or contradict it.

When you walk into a client’s office, join a video call, or send an email, God is “making his appeal” through you—appealing through your integrity, your kindness, your patience, your honesty. People’s impressions of Jesus are often shaped first by their impressions of His people.

Live and work in such a way that if someone knows you, they get a clearer picture of Him.

Reflection Questions:

·       What do my daily actions communicate about the One I represent?

·       Would others be surprised to learn I follow Christ based on how I work?

·       How can I more intentionally live as an ambassador for Christ today?

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for trusting me to represent You. Help me reflect Your character in how I sell, serve, and speak. Let those who interact with me catch a glimpse of who You are. Amen.
