Scripture: “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9 (ESV)
Devotional
A single “no” can sting. A string of “no’s” can feel crushing. After multiple rejections, it’s easy to question your abilities, your calling, or even God’s favor. But Scripture reminds you that courage is not the absence of resistance—it is obedience in the face of it.
God didn’t promise Joshua an easy path; He promised His presence. In the same way, God doesn’t promise you a sales career without obstacles. He promises to be with you—strengthening, guiding, and sustaining you.
Rejection does not mean you are abandoned. It does not define your identity. It is often the path God uses to redirect you, refine you, and prepare you for better opportunities.
When you feel tempted to shrink back, remember: courage is not based on the last response you received; it is based on the God who goes with you into the next conversation.
Reflection Questions:
· How have recent “no’s” affected my confidence or mindset?
· What truths about God’s presence can I cling to in this season?
· What is one courageous step I can take today despite past rejection?
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my heart after rejection. Remind me that You are with me wherever I go. Give me courage to keep moving forward in faith, trusting Your plan more than my results. Amen.
