Integrity in Team Culture [Commercial Broker #49]

Integrity in Team Culture [Commercial Broker #49]

Scripture: “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)

Devotional

Your integrity isn’t just personal; it helps shape the culture of your team or office. The way you talk about clients, respond to pressure, handle gray areas, and discuss competitors influences those around you—especially newer brokers watching how “things are really done.”

You can’t control everyone’s choices, but you can model and champion a culture where doing the right thing matters. That might mean speaking up when conversations drift toward gossip, refusing to celebrate questionable wins, or openly affirming ethical decisions even when they hurt the bottom line.

Healthy accountability also sharpens you. Surround yourself with colleagues who will challenge you toward integrity, not encourage shortcuts. Iron sharpens iron, but only when it’s close enough to make contact.

God may be using you as a quiet reformer in your environment—not with loud speeches, but with a life that consistently reflects His standards.

Reflection Questions:

·       What does the unspoken culture in my office communicate about ethics and integrity?

·       How can I positively influence that culture through my words, decisions, and encouragements?

Prayer

Lord, use me as a sharpening presence in my workplace. Help me model integrity and gently encourage others toward what is right, so our whole team better reflects Your character. Amen.
