No Hidden Agendas [Residential Broker #43]

Scripture: “The integrity of the upright guides them.” — Proverbs 11:3 (ESV)

Devotional

Integrity means your motives match your actions. Hidden agendas—like pushing a client toward a decision for your benefit, withholding information for strategic advantage, or subtly steering people based on your preferences—erode trust and cloud your witness.

A Christian broker is called to transparent motives.

This means you serve your clients’ best interests, not your own. It means you offer recommendations based on wisdom, not commission. It means you pray before advising so your counsel aligns with truth, not preference.

When your motives are clean, your guidance is clear. When your heart is pure, your leadership is steady. When your agenda is service, not self-promotion, clients feel safe—and God is honored.

Integrity is not merely about avoiding dishonesty; it’s about pursuing purity of intention.

Let your heart today be aligned with Christ—clean, honest, and free from hidden agendas.

Reflection Questions:

·       Are there any motives in my work that need to be purified?

·       Do clients experience me as someone who serves or someone who pushes?

·       How can I ensure my recommendations honor God first?

Prayer

Lord, purify my motives. Remove hidden agendas and replace them with a servant’s heart. Guide me to act with sincerity and integrity in all things. Amen.
