Scripture: “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 (ESV)
Devotional
Integrity isn’t just about what you do—it’s about why you do it. A motive may look noble on the outside but be driven by pride, fear, or self-promotion on the inside. God cares about the purity of your heart as much as the integrity of your actions.
Real estate can stir mixed motives—desiring recognition, competing for status, craving affirmation, or chasing security in income. None of these desires are inherently wrong, but when they dominate your heart, they distort your calling.
Purity means asking God to align your motives with His purposes. It means checking your heart before a listing presentation: Am I serving or proving something? It means evaluating your negotiations: Am I driven by greed or by stewardship? It means examining your marketing efforts: Is this about excellence or ego?
A right spirit produces right decisions. When your heart is clean, your work becomes worship—not performance.
Reflection Questions:
· What motive is God inviting me to purify today?
· Where do I feel tempted toward ego-driven decisions?
· How does a “clean heart” change the way I work?
Prayer
Lord, cleanse my heart and purify my motives. Renew a right spirit within me so my work brings You honor. Align my desires with Your purpose. Amen.
