The Integrity of Clear Boundaries [Residential Broker #58]

Listen to devotional here.

Scripture: “Let all things be done decently and in order.” — 1 Corinthians 14:40 (ESV)

Devotional

Boundaries are an essential part of integrity. Without them, your work becomes chaotic, your communication becomes strained, and your relationships become stressed. Clear boundaries protect your character, your energy, and your ability to serve with excellence.

Boundaries in real estate may include:

• Setting reasonable hours for client communication

• Protecting family time

• Saying no to clients who refuse to act ethically

• Establishing expectations early

• Allowing yourself Sabbath rest

• Avoiding burnout-driven overcommitment

Boundaries are not selfish; they are stewardship. They reflect humility by acknowledging your limits and honoring God’s design for your spiritual, emotional, and physical health.

Jesus Himself practiced boundaries—He withdrew to pray, rested when tired, and did not meet every request. If the Son of God lived with boundaries, you should too.

Reflection Questions:

·       Where are my boundaries weak or unclear?

·       What boundary is God asking me to strengthen?

·       How can healthy boundaries improve my integrity?

Prayer

Lord, help me steward my time, energy, and well-being with wisdom. Give me courage to set boundaries that honor You and strengthen my integrity. Amen.
