What Integrity Produces [Real Estate Dev #44]

Scripture: “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.” — Proverbs 10:9 (ESV)

Devotional

Integrity often feels costly in the short term—lost deals, slower approvals, harder paths. But Proverbs 10:9 reveals its hidden benefit: security. When you walk in integrity, you don’t have to look over your shoulder. You don’t worry about secrets being exposed or credibility crumbling under pressure. You walk in freedom and peace.

The world promises quick success through clever tactics and selective truths. But over time, the crooked path caves in. Shortcuts leave cracks in your witness and instability in your legacy. You may get ahead for a season, but eventually the truth surfaces. God designed the world—and your soul—to thrive in truth, not deception.

Integrity builds trust, both with people and with God. It strengthens your leadership, stabilizes your spirit, and positions you for lasting influence. You don’t have to remember what version of the truth you told to whom. You don’t fear audits, investigations, or exposure. You simply walk securely—anchored in the righteousness of Christ.

Let that be your goal. Not just success, but peace. Not just recognition, but integrity. Not just results, but rightness with God. That kind of life is secure, stable, and deeply fruitful.

Reflection Questions:

  • Do I feel secure in my leadership—or am I hiding something?

  • What long-term fruit might integrity produce in my work and witness?

  • How does walking uprightly reflect trust in God?

Prayer

Father, help me walk in integrity—even when it’s hard. Let my security come not from circumstances, but from a life lived in truth. Protect my heart from shortcuts, and establish my path in righteousness. Amen.
