When God Redirects Your Path [Sales Professional #118]

Devotional
Sometimes God doesn’t just delay your plans—He redirects them. A role closes unexpectedly, a promising territory shifts, a strategic plan falls apart. You may feel disoriented, even disappointed. But God’s purposes are not derailed when your plans are.
Redirection can mean:
A new product line or vertical you never considered.
A change in team or leadership that grows you.
A future move to a different company or even a different calling.
You don’t have to see the full picture to trust the Painter. Your job is to remain faithful, grounded in Christ, and open-handed with your career. Over time, you may look back and see that what felt like a detour was actually a sovereign turn toward something better.
God’s purpose—not your original plan—is what will stand.

Have I been resisting God’s redirection or leaning into it?
What evidence from my past shows that God has guided me well before?
Prayer
Lord, I surrender my plans to Your purpose. When You redirect my path, help me trust that You see what I cannot. Lead me step by step into the work and places that honor You most. Amen.
