Scripture: “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16 (ESV)

Devotional

Your workplace is more than a place of employment—it is a mission field. Every shift places you in proximity to people who are hurting, searching, and often spiritually open, even if they don’t express it outwardly.

You may not always have opportunities to speak openly about your faith, but your life speaks constantly.

Your attitude, your integrity, your patience, and your compassion all reflect something deeper. In a field where stress, burnout, and frustration are common, your steady presence can stand out. When you respond with grace instead of irritation, or integrity instead of shortcuts, people notice.

Being a light doesn’t mean being perfect. It means being consistent. It means living in a way that reflects Christ in both big and small moments.

Sometimes your influence will come through quiet actions—a listening ear, a calm response, or a kind word. Other times, God may open doors for deeper conversations. Either way, your role is to be available and faithful.

You don’t have to force anything. Simply live in a way that points to Him.

Your light may shine in ways you never fully see—but God uses it more than you know.

Reflection Questions:

• How are you currently reflecting Christ in your workplace?

• Is there an area where God is prompting you to be more intentional in your witness?

Action Step: Do one intentional act of kindness or encouragement for a coworker or patient today without expecting anything in return.

Prayer

Father, help me to be a light where You’ve placed me. Let my words, actions, and attitude reflect Your love and truth to those around me. Amen.
