Scripture: “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:15 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales is fast-paced, unpredictable, and often high-pressure—deadlines, quotas, competition, month-end stress, and urgent requests. Yet Jesus offers a peace that isn’t tied to circumstances. Paul says the peace of Christ should rule your heart—acting as the governing authority over your emotions, decisions, and reactions.
This peace does not come from hitting goals, outperforming peers, or closing deals. It comes from resting in Christ’s presence and trusting His sovereignty. It is a peace the world cannot give—and cannot take away.
When Christ’s peace rules your heart…
• You respond calmly in tense conversations.
• You remain gracious when clients are demanding.
• You stay steady when outcomes are uncertain.
• You work diligently without being driven by fear.
A peaceful heart in a pressured environment is a testimony in itself.
Reflection Questions:
· What currently disrupts my peace at work?
· How can I invite Christ’s peace into moments of stress?
· What evidence would show that Christ—not pressure—is ruling my heart?
Prayer:
Jesus, let Your peace rule in my heart today. Calm my fears, steady my emotions, and guide my reactions. Help me work with confidence rooted in You alone. Amen.
