Scripture: “The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” — Genesis 2:15 (ESV)

Devotional

Work was God’s idea long before sin entered the world. He placed Adam in a garden—not to relax, but to work, cultivate, and steward. This reveals something profound: work is sacred. And that includes the work of helping people find place, land, and home.

As a residential broker, you are participating in something ancient and deeply meaningful. Homes are where families grow, memories are made, and lives take shape. Your role in helping people find those spaces reflects God’s heart for provision, stability, and belonging.

When you view real estate as a calling, not just a career, your mindset shifts. Every showing becomes an opportunity to serve. Every negotiation becomes a chance to demonstrate integrity. Every client becomes a divine appointment—someone God has entrusted to your care.

Reflection Questions

·       Do I see my profession as part of God’s story?

·       How can I better reflect God’s heart for stewardship in my work?

·       Who might God be calling me to serve intentionally today?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for entrusting me with a calling that impacts people’s lives so deeply. Help me honor You in how I steward my work. Use me to bring peace and purpose into every home I enter. Amen.
