Scripture: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” — Proverbs 31:8
Devotional
As an attorney, your voice carries weight. Whether you’re advocating in a courtroom, negotiating a deal, or advising a client, your words can shape outcomes that deeply impact lives. But the calling is not simply to win—it is to represent truth with integrity.
The legal profession often rewards sharp arguments, strategic positioning, and persuasive communication. Yet Scripture calls you to something higher: advocacy rooted in righteousness. There will be moments when cutting corners, stretching the truth, or prioritizing victory over justice may seem tempting. But your role is not just to argue—it is to uphold what is right.
God has placed you in a position where your voice can defend, protect, and bring clarity. When you align your advocacy with truth, you reflect His character as a just and righteous Judge.
Reflection Questions:
• Am I more focused on winning or on honoring truth?
• How can I use my voice to defend those who need justice?
Action Step: Before your next legal conversation or argument, pause and ask: “Does this reflect truth and integrity?”
Prayer
Lord, help me to use my voice wisely. Let my advocacy reflect Your justice and truth in every situation. Amen.
