Asking for God’s Blessing on Your Work [Sales Professional #187]
Listen to today's devotional:
Scripture
“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands.” — Psalm 90:17 (ESV)
Devotional
Moses prayed that God would “establish the work of our hands”—to make it fruitful, meaningful, and enduring. You can pray the same.
God’s blessing is not luck. It is His favor resting on your effort, your relationships, your opportunities, and your decisions. You may have skill, process, and drive—but without God’s favor, your work loses eternal value.
When you ask for His blessing, you acknowledge:
Your dependence
His sovereignty
His generosity
Your desire to honor Him
Invite God to establish your work each day. When He blesses it, the fruit multiplies far beyond what you could achieve alone.
Reflection Questions
Do I ask for God’s blessing consistently—or rely mostly on myself?
In what areas of work do I most need His favor?
What would it look like to dedicate each workday to Him?
Prayer
Lord, place Your favor on the work of my hands. Establish what aligns with Your will and let my efforts bear lasting fruit for Your glory. Amen.
