Scripture
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales can feel like a solo sport—your pipeline, your goals, your numbers. That mindset makes it hard to admit when you’re struggling. Pride says, “I should be able to handle this alone.” The gospel says, “You were never meant to.”
God designed the body of Christ to carry burdens together. In the workplace, that might look like:
• Asking a teammate for advice or perspective.
• Reaching out to a mentor for coaching or prayer.
• Being honest with a trusted friend when you’re overwhelmed.
Asking for help is not weakness; it’s humility. It acknowledges your need and makes room for others to use their gifts. It also gives them the opportunity to obey Christ by bearing burdens alongside you.
You don’t have to pretend you’re fine when you’re not. Invite others in.
Reflection Questions
Where am I currently struggling but keeping it to myself?
Who is a safe, wise person I could invite into this situation?
What lies do I believe about asking for help?
Prayer
Lord, break my pride and fear about asking for help. Show me who I can open up to, and give me courage to share honestly. Use others to strengthen me—and use me to bear their burdens too. Amen.
