Every workplace includes people who are easy to be around—and people who require extra grace. Different personalities, work styles, and quirks can grate on you over time. It’s tempting to complain, avoid, or write people off. But Paul calls believers to something higher: bearing with one another in love.
“Bearing with” doesn’t mean pretending issues don’t exist. It means choosing patience over irritation, gentleness over sharpness, and humility over superiority. You remember your own rough edges and how patient God has been with you. That memory softens your response to others.
At work, bearing with others might look like giving someone the benefit of the doubt, adjusting your expectations, choosing not to take minor irritations personally, or praying for someone instead of criticizing them. Over time, this posture can transform tension into opportunity—for growth, understanding, and Christlikeness.

What practical step can you take today to move toward patience instead of frustration?
Prayer
Lord, You have borne with me in so many ways. Teach me to bear with others in love. Give me humility, gentleness, and patience with difficult personalities, so that my responses reflect Your grace. Amen.
