Scripture: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” — Matthew 5:9 (ESV)
Devotional
Teams can fracture easily—misunderstandings, perceived favoritism, competition, or unresolved frustration. Jesus doesn’t just call you to avoid conflict; He calls you to be a peacemaker—someone who actively works to bring reconciliation, clarity, and unity.
Peacemaking isn’t people-pleasing. It doesn’t ignore real issues. Instead, it:
• Helps others see both sides more clearly.
• Refuses to fan the flames of gossip.
• Encourages direct, respectful conversations.
• Models humility, apology, and forgiveness.
Being a peacemaker may not always be comfortable, but it is deeply Christlike. God reconciled you to Himself through Christ; now you get to reflect that reconciling heart in your workplace relationships.
When you bring peace instead of division, you bear a family resemblance to your Father in heaven.
Reflection Questions:
· Do I contribute more to peace or to tension on my team?
· Have I ever fueled division through gossip, sarcasm, or negativity?
· Where might God be calling me to be a peacemaker right now?
Prayer
Father, make me a peacemaker. Help me bring calm, clarity, and unity into my team. Give me courage to act, wisdom to speak, and humility to listen so that Your character is seen in me. Amen.
