Devotional
In many workplaces, people are careful about what they share—and with whom they share it. Trust is fragile. A single broken confidence can damage relationships for years. As a follower of Christ, you’re called to be the kind of person others can safely trust.
Being “trustworthy in spirit” means refusing to spread confidential information, resisting the lure of gossip, and honoring appropriate boundaries. It doesn’t mean hiding wrongdoing that must be reported; it means you don’t use others’ struggles or mistakes as conversational entertainment.
When coworkers learn that you protect what is entrusted to you, they may be more likely to come to you in times of need. Your reliability becomes a channel for ministry—a place where people can experience the faithful, protective heart of God through you.

How do you handle sensitive information shared with you at work?
Have you ever used someone’s story or mistake as gossip or “small talk”?
What changes can you make to be a more trustworthy, safe person in conversations?
Prayer
Lord, You are completely faithful and trustworthy. Make me a safe person at work—someone who protects, not exposes, what others entrust to me. Guard my tongue, and let my words reflect Your integrity and love. Amen.
