Bringing Your Stress to the Cross [Sales Professional #134]

Bringing Your Stress to the Cross [Sales Professional #134]

Scripture

“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 (ESV)

Devotional

Sales stress is real—targets, timelines, competition, internal pressures. You may carry tension in your shoulders, headaches in the evening, or restless thoughts at night. God does not dismiss these anxieties; He invites you to throw them onto Him.

Casting your anxieties on Jesus is an act of trust. It’s like unloading a heavy backpack at His feet and saying, “I was never meant to carry this alone.” You may need to do it repeatedly throughout the day as new worries arise.

The cross reminds you how deeply He cares. If He bore your sin and shame, He can certainly handle your stress and fear. Your anxieties are not too trivial for Him; they matter because you matter.

Let each moment of stress become a trigger to run, again and again, to the One who cares for you.

Reflection Questions

  • What specific anxieties about work am I carrying right now?

  • Do I tend to internalize stress or bring it honestly to Jesus?

  • How can I build small “check-in” moments with God into my workday?

Prayer

Jesus, I cast my anxieties on You—my quotas, my clients, my future. Thank You that You care for me. Lift the weight off my heart and teach me to lean on You in every stressful moment. Amen.
