Building Relationships That Lead to Faith

Scripture: “And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:39)

Reflection:

Relationships are at the heart of the Great Commission. Jesus commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves, a principle that applies to coworkers, clients, and colleagues. Workplaces are unique environments where meaningful connections can be built.

Building relationships requires time, intentionality, and a heart of compassion. As you take the time to listen, encourage, and support those around you, you demonstrate Christ’s love in action. These connections often create opportunities to share your faith in a natural and impactful way.

Jesus modeled relational ministry throughout His life. He invested in the lives of His disciples, ate with sinners, and healed the brokenhearted. His example reminds us that evangelism is not about programs or strategies but about genuine care for others.

Work relationships are often long-term, providing space for trust to develop. As you consistently reflect God’s love, you may find moments to share the hope you have in Christ, planting seeds of faith that God can nurture.

Application Question / Challenge:

Who in your workplace could use encouragement or support? Take time this week to strengthen that relationship and show God’s love through your actions.

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the relationships You’ve placed in my life. Teach me to love my coworkers and colleagues as You love me. Help me to invest in their lives and share Your hope through genuine care and connection. Amen.
