Scripture: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” — Matthew 5:9 (ESV)

Devotional

Residential real estate involves people—lots of people—each with emotions, expectations, and stress. Negotiations can quickly grow tense. Inspections uncover surprises. Deadlines create pressure. In the middle of it all, God calls you to something beautiful: to be a peacemaker.

Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean avoiding conflict; it means entering it with wisdom, calmness, and grace. It means helping buyers and sellers communicate clearly, easing fear during hard moments, and diffusing tension with compassion and truth. A peacemaker reflects Christ’s presence—not panic, frustration, or pressure.

When you remain calm during a heated negotiation, you reveal God’s steadiness. When you respond gently to an upset client, you mirror His patience. When you bring peace to a complicated situation, you demonstrate the Spirit at work within you.

Your ability to bring peace is one of your greatest testimonies as a broker. Clients may not remember every detail of the transaction, but they will remember how you made them feel. Let the peace of Christ flow through you today—into every conversation and circumstance.

Reflection Questions:

·       Where do I need to bring peace into my work today?

·       How do I typically respond to tension or conflict?

·       What is one relational situation I can handle with more grace?

Prayer

Jesus, make me a peacemaker. Help me carry Your calm into every conversation. Let my presence bring clarity, comfort, and peace to the people I serve. Amen.
