Called to Steward People’s Stories [Residential Broker #6]

Scripture: “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2 (ESV)

Devotional

Real estate gives you a behind-the-scenes view into people’s lives. Sometimes you step into joy—like a young couple buying their first home. Sometimes you step into grief—like a family selling after a loss or divorce. These aren’t just business transactions; they’re holy moments.

God places you in these moments not just to guide the paperwork, but to carry part of their burden. Sometimes that means listening with empathy. Sometimes it means praying silently for peace. Sometimes it means slowing down and giving space for emotion. When you walk with people through transition, you reflect the compassion of Christ.

This work is sacred. You are being trusted with people’s stories. Handle them gently. Respectfully. Prayerfully. You may never know the full impact of your kindness—but God sees every seed you plant.

Reflection Questions:

·       Whom is God inviting me to care for more intentionally this week?

·       How can I slow down enough to truly listen to clients today?

·       What burden can I help someone carry?

Prayer

Father, give me eyes to see the real stories behind the sales. Help me walk with people in a way that reflects Your love. Make me gentle, attentive, and compassionate. Amen.

This devotional is intended to help you integrate your faith into your daily work and calling. It is not a substitute for personal time with God in Scripture, prayer, and worship, which are essential for knowing Christ, loving Him deeply, and becoming more like Him.
