Carrying Christ Into Every Conversation [Sales Professional #175]

Scripture

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.” — Colossians 4:6 (ESV)

Devotional

Every conversation in sales carries weight—each call, email, meeting, and follow-up is an opportunity to shine the character of Christ. Paul says your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt—refreshing, preserving, and full of value.

This doesn’t mean quoting Scripture in every conversation. It means:

Speaking with clarity and kindness

Responding calmly when others are tense

Showing empathy when people express concerns

Avoiding manipulation or pressure

Being truthful without being harsh

When Christ shapes your speech, He influences your clients through you. Your words become “light carriers” in places where people rarely encounter grace.

Speak today as one who represents Christ.

Reflection Questions

How would others describe the tone of my speech at work?

Where do I need more grace in my communication?

What one conversation today can I intentionally season with grace?

Prayer

Lord, let my speech reflect You. Season my words with grace, compassion, and truth. Use my conversations to honor Christ and bless others. Amen.
