Scripture: “Rejoice with those who rejoice.” — Romans 12:15 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales environments are competitive, and competition can tempt you to compare, resent, or envy. But Scripture calls you to celebrate the wins of others—not reluctantly, but with joy.
When you can genuinely rejoice in a coworker’s big sale, recognition, promotion, or breakthrough, it reveals a heart rooted in security and love. It also breaks the power of envy, which silently erodes joy and damages relationships.
Celebrating others’ success strengthens unity, builds trust, and creates a culture that reflects Christ—not competition. You become a refreshing presence in the workplace when you cheer others on instead of competing at their expense.
Remember: if God opens a door for someone else, it doesn’t close one for you. His provision is not limited.
Reflection Questions:
· Do I celebrate the success of others or feel threatened by it?
· What recent win of someone around me can I congratulate sincerely?
· How does rejoicing with others cultivate Christlike character?
Prayer:
Father, free my heart from envy and comparison. Teach me to celebrate the blessings and successes of others. Let my joy for them reflect Your love and unity. Amen.
