Scripture: “If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” — Romans 12:18 (ESV)
Devotional
Conflict is unavoidable in real estate—disagreements between agents, buyers frustrated with sellers, lenders causing delays, or unexpected inspection results. How you handle conflict reveals your character more than almost anything else.
Character in conflict means you respond with wisdom, patience, and restraint—not defensiveness or hostility. It means you listen before reacting. You seek understanding before winning. You speak truth respectfully and refuse to escalate tension.
As a believer, you bring the presence of Christ into every conflict. That means you can be calm when others panic, gracious when others lash out, and steady when others crumble under pressure. Your conduct can transform the tone of a tense situation and open a door for peace.
You are not responsible for others’ reactions—but you are responsible for yours. Choose character over pride and peace over proving your point.
Reflection Questions:
· How do I usually respond to conflict?
· What conflict right now needs a Christlike response from me?
· How can I become a calming presence in stressful situations?
Prayer
Lord, give me wisdom and self-control in conflict. Help me reflect Your peace and respond with grace. Let my conduct point others toward You. Amen.
