Scripture: “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God?” — Galatians 1:10 (ESV)
Devotional
Much of real estate revolves around impressions—presenting yourself professionally, building a brand, networking effectively. There’s nothing wrong with professionalism, but the desire to impress can quietly lead you away from integrity.
You may feel pressure to exaggerate your experience, inflate your numbers, or act more confident than you feel. You may feel tempted to hide mistakes, minimize your weaknesses, or present a polished image rather than a truthful one.
But God calls you to seek His approval above human applause.
Integrity means being honest about who you are and trusting God to elevate you in His timing. Pretending to be more than you are diminishes dependence on God and increases dependence on perception. You don’t have to impress to be impactful.
Let your confidence come from Christ, not image. Let your worth come from identity, not impressions.
Reflection Questions:
· Where do I feel pressure to impress others?
· Do I ever misrepresent myself or my business?
· How can I seek God’s approval more intentionally?
Prayer
Lord, free me from the pressure to impress. Help me walk in authenticity, humility, and truth. Let my desire for Your approval outweigh my desire for man’s. Amen.
