Choosing Integrity Over Opportunity [Financial Advisor #64]

Choosing Integrity Over Opportunity [Financial Advisor #64]

Scripture: “Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.” — Proverbs 16:8

Devotional

Not every opportunity is worth pursuing.

In your work, you will encounter situations where the path forward may be profitable—but not fully aligned with your convictions. These moments test what you truly value.

Scripture makes it clear: righteousness is more valuable than gain.

Choosing integrity over opportunity may cost you in the short term. It may mean walking away from a deal, declining a client, or taking a harder path. But it preserves something far more important—your character, your witness, and your alignment with God.

God’s provision is not dependent on compromised decisions. He honors those who choose what is right, even when it is difficult.

You are not just building a business—you are building a life. And that life is shaped by the choices you make when no one else is watching.

Reflection Questions:

  1. Have you faced situations where integrity and opportunity were in tension?

  2. How did you respond—and what did you learn?

  3. What would help you stand firm in future decisions?

Prayer

God, give me the courage to choose righteousness over gain. Help me trust that Your way is always better, even when it’s harder.
