The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps. Proverbs 14:15.

Legal work often requires fast responses and quick decisions. Under pressure, it can be tempting to act impulsively—to respond emotionally, rush conclusions, or move forward without adequate reflection.
But wisdom slows you down.
Scripture describes the prudent person as someone who carefully considers their steps. Wisdom does not react recklessly; it evaluates thoughtfully.
This is especially important in your profession, where small decisions can have significant consequences. Taking time to think clearly, gather information, and seek perspective often prevents avoidable mistakes.
Choosing wisdom over impulse also applies relationally. Not every frustration requires an immediate response. Not every disagreement needs escalation. A measured response often accomplishes far more than an emotional reaction.
The ability to pause, reflect, and proceed carefully is a mark of maturity and discipline.
God’s wisdom brings clarity where pressure creates confusion.
