Confidence in Your Calling [Commercial Broker #21]

Scripture: “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” — Romans 11:29 (ESV)

Devotional

Some days in commercial real estate you feel unstoppable—appointments booked, clients responsive, deals moving forward. Other days you question everything. Did I choose the right field? Am I really called to this? Those doubts are normal, but they don’t have the final word.

God’s calling is not fragile. It isn’t revoked because of a bad month, a lost client, or a changing market. His calling rests on His wisdom, not your performance. The skills, experiences, and relationships He’s given you are part of a long-term assignment in the marketplace, not a temporary experiment.

Confidence in your calling isn’t arrogance; it’s trust. It means you believe that the God who placed you in this profession is still at work, even when results are slow. It frees you from chasing constant affirmation, because you know your purpose is anchored in Someone greater than the market.

When insecurity surfaces today, remind yourself: “God has called me here. He has not changed His mind.”

Reflection Questions:

·       What circumstances most often cause me to doubt my calling?

·       How would I work differently if I truly believed God’s calling on my life is secure?

Prayer

Lord, thank You that Your calling on my life is firm. Strengthen my confidence in You, not in my results, and help me walk boldly in the work You’ve given me. Amen.
