Scripture: “But godliness with contentment is great gain.” — 1 Timothy 6:6
Devotional
The financial world constantly pushes for more—more growth, more clients, more success.
But God calls you to something different: contentment.
Contentment doesn’t mean lack of ambition. It means your identity is not tied to your performance. It means your peace is not dependent on results.
You can pursue excellence without chasing validation.
When you are content in Christ, you are freed from comparison. You are no longer driven by fear or pressure, but by purpose.
This changes how you lead, how you serve, and how you define success.
True gain is not found in what you accumulate—but in who you become.
Reflection Questions:
Where do you feel pressure to prove yourself in your work?
How does comparison affect your mindset?
What would it look like to rest in contentment while still pursuing excellence?
Prayer
Lord, teach me contentment. Help me find my identity in You, not in performance, and give me peace in every season.
