Scripture: “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” — Proverbs 10:9 (ESV)
Devotional
There will be moments when doing the right thing costs you—a listing lost because you refused to overprice, a buyer walking away because you were truthful about defects, a commission shrinking because you advocated for fairness. These moments test the core of your character.
But Proverbs 10:9 makes a promise: when you walk in integrity, you walk securely. Your security does not come from deals closing; it comes from God who honors truth. When you choose righteousness over reward, you gain something far more valuable than income—you gain the peace of a clear conscience and the confidence of God’s approval.
Integrity sometimes leads to short-term loss but always leads to long-term strength. God will not let your faithfulness go unrewarded. He sees every costly obedience, every honest word, every sacrificial decision. He is your Provider, and He will redeem what you release for His sake.
Let integrity lead you, even when it hurts. God will secure your steps.
Reflection Questions:
· When have I experienced the cost of doing what is right?
· What fears keep me from full integrity?
· How can I trust God more with the outcomes of honest decisions?
Prayer
Father, strengthen me to choose integrity even when it costs me. Help me trust You as my security and provider. Let my decisions reflect my faith in You, not my fear of loss. Amen.
