Scripture: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Devotional
Encouragement is often overlooked in professional environments, yet it carries significant impact. As an accountant, your role may seem focused on numbers, but your words and attitude can greatly influence those around you.
Encouragement does not require grand gestures. It can be expressed through simple affirmations, patient explanations, or recognition of others’ efforts. In high-pressure environments, even small words of encouragement can bring relief and motivation.
God calls His people to build one another up. When you intentionally encourage others, you reflect His care and strengthen relationships.
Encouragement also shifts your perspective. It moves your focus from tasks alone to the people connected to them. It reminds you that your work is not just transactional—it is relational.
Today, look for opportunities to encourage someone through your words and actions.
Reflection Questions:
Who in your workplace could benefit from encouragement today?
How can you incorporate encouragement into your daily interactions?
Prayer
Lord, help me be a source of encouragement. Use my words and actions to uplift those around me. Amen.
