Scripture: “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales teams often live under constant scrutiny—numbers visible, performance tracked, results compared. In that environment, encouragement becomes a lifeline. A simple word of affirmation, a genuine “well done,” or a note of support can shift someone’s entire day.
As a follower of Christ, you are called to be a builder, not a critic by default. Encouragement doesn’t ignore problems, but it balances truth with hope. It sees effort, growth, and potential—not just shortcomings.
Look for the good in your coworkers: the extra effort, the quiet integrity, the small wins, the perseverance in hard seasons. Call it out. Encourage it. Celebrate it.
Encouragement costs you very little but blesses others greatly. And in a high-pressure sales environment, it shines like a light.
Reflection Questions:
· Do I tend to be more critical or encouraging at work?
· Who on my team could use a specific word of encouragement today?
· How does encouraging others shape my own heart and attitude?
Prayer
Lord, make me an encourager. Open my eyes to the good work others are doing and give me words that build up, not tear down. Let my speech bring life, hope, and strength to my coworkers. Amen.
