Scripture: “You have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.” — Hebrews 10:36 (ESV)
Devotional
Some sales processes move quickly; others seem to drag on endlessly—months of conversations, approvals, delays, and decision-makers. Long cycles test endurance. You may feel tempted to disengage, get sloppy, or give up.
God’s Word reminds you that you “have need of endurance.” Endurance is not just for persecution; it’s also for the slow, steady obedience required in daily work. When you continue to serve well, communicate clearly, and follow up faithfully—even when progress feels slow—you’re exercising spiritual muscle.
Endurance is formed when you choose perseverance over frustration, patience over pressure, and faithfulness over shortcuts. God uses these drawn-out processes to shape your character as much as He uses them to shape outcomes.
He sees every call, every email, every diligent touchpoint. Press on. Your endurance matters to Him.
Reflection Questions:
· Where am I currently tempted to give up in a long sales process?
· How can I remain diligent and hopeful even when timelines stretch out?
· What does faithful endurance look like in this specific situation?
Prayer
Lord, strengthen my endurance. Help me stay faithful and diligent in long sales cycles. Guard me from frustration and discouragement, and use this season to deepen my character and dependence on You. Amen.
