Scripture: “Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.” — Romans 12:9 (ESV)
Devotional
Real estate is competitive—agents vying for listings, negotiating for advantage, and seeking visibility in saturated markets. The temptation to compromise “just a little” is always present. But God calls you to ethical leadership that holds fast to what is good even when others cut corners.
Ethical leadership means you refuse to inflate numbers or fabricate interest. It means you disclose what needs to be disclosed, even if it hurts the deal. It means you treat cooperating agents honorably, even when they are difficult or unprofessional. It means you choose righteousness over results.
When you lead ethically, you stand out—not just professionally, but spiritually. You become a safe person in a chaotic industry. People sense a different spirit in you—a steady confidence not built on competition but on Christ.
And the beauty of ethical leadership is this: God honors it. He opens doors no selfish tactic could ever unlock. He blesses what reflects His character.
Reflection Questions:
· Where am I tempted to compromise in competitive situations?
· What would it look like to “hold fast to what is good” this week?
· How does ethical leadership display the love of Christ?
Prayer
Lord, empower me to lead with ethical clarity. Help me cling to Your goodness and walk in righteousness. Let my leadership reflect Your love and truth. Amen.
