Scripture: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
Devotional
Excellence is not about perfectionism or pride—it is about honor. When Scripture calls us to do everything for God’s glory, it invites us to bring our best effort, attention, and care to whatever task is before us.
In accounting, excellence shows up in preparation, accuracy, and follow-through. It means resisting shortcuts not because rules demand it, but because God deserves work done with care. Excellence honors Him because it reflects His nature—orderly, faithful, and intentional.
Excellence does not mean overworking or striving for approval. Instead, it flows from a heart that values faithfulness. It says, “God, this matters to You, so it matters to me.”
Even routine or repetitive tasks can become worship when approached with excellence. When you give your best—not to impress others, but to honor God—you transform ordinary work into sacred service.

Lord, help me pursue excellence with the right heart. Let my work reflect Your glory, not my ego, and be pleasing in Your sight. Amen.
