Excellence Is a Form of Worship [Sales Professional #7]

Scripture: “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings.” — Proverbs 22:29 (ESV)

Devotional

Excellence is not perfectionism—excellence is stewardship. God has given you skills, opportunities, relationships, and influence. Excellence is your way of saying “thank You” in how you use them.

In sales, excellence is demonstrated through preparation, follow-through, professionalism, and consistent growth in your craft. It shows up when you show up early, listen well, tailor your solutions, and deliver what you promise.

Poor effort does not honor God. He deserves your best—because He gave you His.

When you pursue excellence, clients notice. Not because you’re trying to impress them, but because excellence reflects the character of Christ. For the believer, excellence isn’t about outperforming competitors… it’s about honoring the Lord.

Excellence transforms your work from routine tasks into holy offerings.

Reflection Questions:

·       What areas of my work would improve if I intentionally pursued excellence?

·       How can I honor God through better preparation or follow-through?

·       What does excellence look like in my next meeting or call?

Prayer

Father, strengthen my commitment to excellence. Help me work with diligence, skill, and intentionality. Let my effort reflect Your worthiness and bring You glory. Amen.
