Excellence Through Thoughtful Pacing [Residential Broker #187]
Listen to today's devotional:
Scripture
For everything there is a season. Ecclesiastes 3:1.
Devotional
Pacing is a skill—knowing when to move quickly and when to slow down. Some parts of a transaction require urgent movement; others require thoughtful deliberation. Excellence involves recognizing the difference.
Thoughtful pacing means:
not rushing clients when they need processing time,
not delaying when circumstances require urgency,
adjusting your speed based on emotional signals,
and letting wisdom guide your pace, not pressure.
Jesus was perfectly paced—never rushed, never idle. He matched the moment with wisdom and sensitivity.
When you pace your work thoughtfully, you reduce stress, increase clarity, and strengthen your leadership. You help clients stay grounded instead of overwhelmed.
Reflection Questions
Where do I tend to rush unnecessarily?
Where do I delay when I should move more quickly?
How can I align my pace with wisdom and the Spirit’s leading?
Prayer
Lord, teach me wise pacing. Help me move with discernment, never rushed by fear and never slowed by hesitation. Amen.
