Scripture: “Whoever is faithful in very little is also faithful in much.” — Luke 16:10
Devotional
Much of your daily work may not feel significant. Routine entries, reconciliations, emails, and follow-ups can seem small compared to major financial decisions or large-scale outcomes. Yet Jesus makes it clear—faithfulness in the small things is what prepares you for greater responsibility.
God does not measure your work by visibility or scale. He measures it by faithfulness. The small tasks are not interruptions to your calling—they are your calling.
When you approach minor responsibilities with care, diligence, and integrity, you develop habits that shape your character. These habits prepare you for greater influence, deeper trust, and expanded opportunities to serve.
It is often in the unnoticed details that your true commitment to excellence is revealed. Anyone can rise to the occasion in big moments, but consistent faithfulness in small things reflects a heart fully surrendered to God.
Today, resist the temptation to overlook the small tasks. Instead, embrace them as opportunities to honor God.
Reflection Questions:
What small responsibilities are you tempted to rush or overlook?
How can you approach those tasks with greater intentionality?
Prayer
Lord, help me be faithful in every detail. Teach me to value the small things as part of Your greater purpose. Amen.
