Scripture: “And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” — Matthew 6:4 (ESV)
Devotional
Much of your work goes unnoticed. The extra effort, the careful review, the ethical decision that no one else recognizes—these moments often happen behind the scenes.
It can be discouraging when your faithfulness isn’t acknowledged. When others cut corners and seem to advance. When integrity feels overlooked.
But God sees what others do not.
He sees the choices you make when no one is watching. He sees your commitment to doing what is right, even when it’s inconvenient. He sees your quiet obedience.
Faithfulness is not dependent on recognition. It is rooted in obedience.
When you begin to live for God’s approval rather than human recognition, your perspective changes. You no longer need validation from others to remain committed to what is right.
Your reward is not found in immediate recognition—it is found in God’s faithfulness over time.
Stay faithful. Even when no one sees.
Reflection Questions:
• How do I respond when my work goes unnoticed?
• Am I motivated more by recognition or obedience?
• Where is God calling me to remain faithful behind the scenes?
Action Step: Do one task today with excellence that no one else will likely notice—and offer it to God.
Prayer
Father, remind me that You see all things. Help me to remain faithful, even when no one else notices. Strengthen my commitment to honor You in secret. Amen.
