Scripture: “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” — 2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)
Devotional
Rejection is one of the hardest parts of sales—unreturned calls, lost deals, unanswered proposals, disinterested prospects. These moments can feel personal and defeating. But Scripture reminds you that fear is not from God.
God gives you power to persevere.
God gives you love for people—even difficult ones.
God gives you self-control to respond with grace and confidence.
Rejection is not a verdict on your worth. It is not a sign of failure. Often, it is God’s protection, redirection, or preparation. The Divine Purpose of a Sales Professional eBook teaches that God uses rejection to build endurance, refine character, and guide His people into better opportunities.
Let rejection drive you to dependence on God, not discouragement. He is working in ways you cannot yet see.
Reflection Questions:
· How do I usually respond emotionally to rejection?
· What truth from Scripture can anchor me in moments of disappointment?
· What might God be protecting or preparing me for through this rejection?
Prayer
Father, remove fear from my heart and replace it with Your power, love, and self-control. Help me face rejection with faith, not fear, trusting that You are working for my good. Amen.
