Scripture: “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” — Nehemiah 8:10 (ESV)
Devotional
Joy and sales don’t always feel like they go together. Some days are heavy. Some conversations are difficult. Some months feel discouraging. Yet Scripture teaches that the joy of the Lord—not circumstances, not sales results—is your strength.
Joy comes from knowing who you are in Christ.
Joy comes from knowing He is with you.
Joy comes from knowing your work matters to God.
Joy comes from knowing He is faithful regardless of outcomes.
This joy strengthens you in difficult seasons and sustains you in busy ones. It protects your heart from burnout, negativity, and discouragement. It also makes you a light in the workplace—someone whose attitude refreshes and inspires others.
Joy is not superficial positivity. It is a deep, steady, spiritual gladness rooted in the goodness of God.
Reflection Questions:
· What steals my joy most easily during the workday?
· How can I look to the Lord—not circumstances—for my strength?
· What practices help me remain joyful even in difficult seasons?
Prayer
Lord, restore to me the joy of Your presence. Let that joy strengthen my heart and overflow into my work. Help me reflect Your goodness through a joyful spirit today. Amen.
