Scripture: “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” — Proverbs 29:25
Devotional
The desire for approval is powerful. In professional settings, it can quietly influence decisions, soften convictions, or tempt compromise. Wanting to be respected and valued is natural—but when fear of disapproval drives your choices, integrity becomes vulnerable.
As an accountant, you may feel pressure to please clients, supervisors, or peers. Yet Scripture warns that fear of man can become a trap. When approval becomes the goal, faithfulness can be sidelined.
Trust in God brings freedom. When your identity is rooted in Him, you are less swayed by shifting opinions. You can make decisions based on integrity rather than image.
Freedom from approval does not mean disregard for others. It means prioritizing obedience to God above the need for validation. It allows you to stand firm with humility and peace.
Today, release the burden of pleasing everyone. Seek instead to honor the One whose approval matters most.
