Scripture: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’” — 2 Corinthians 12:9 (ESV)
Devotional
Every salesperson has limitations—areas of skill, temperament, or experience where you feel less capable than others. You may envy someone else’s charisma, network, or niche knowledge. But God does some of His best work through our weaknesses.
Paul learned to boast in his weakness because it revealed the sufficiency of Christ’s grace. In your sales career, your limitations:
• Keep you humble.
• Drive you to pray.
• Make room for God to show His power.
You are not called to be the most talented person in the room. You are called to be faithful, dependent, and obedient. As you bring your weaknesses to God, He can turn them into places of testimony—stories of what He did through what you couldn’t do on your own.
Reflection Questions:
· What limitation in my role do I wish I could remove or hide?
· How might God want to show His power through that very weakness?
· How can I lean into His grace instead of resenting my limitations?
Prayer
Jesus, I bring You my weaknesses and limitations. Let Your grace be sufficient in my sales work. Show Your power in the areas where I feel least capable, so that You receive the glory. Amen.
