God’s Strength in Stressful Deadlines [Sales Professional #74]

God’s Strength in Stressful Deadlines [Sales Professional #74]

Scripture: “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you.” — Psalm 55:22 (ESV)

Devotional

End-of-month or end-of-quarter deadlines can feel like a weight on your chest. The pressure to hit targets, respond quickly, and juggle multiple priorities can wear on your body, mind, and spirit. God does not ask you to pretend this pressure isn’t real—but He does invite you not to carry it alone.

To “cast your burden” is to actively hand it over to Him in prayer: “Lord, You see this deadline. You know the expectations. I give You my anxiety, my fatigue, and my fear. Sustain me.”

Sustaining grace may look like renewed focus, creative solutions, timely help from others, or peace that steadies your heart even when circumstances are intense. It doesn’t always remove the deadline, but it strengthens you under it.

You are not a machine; you are a child of God working in partnership with your Father. Let Him sustain you today.

Reflection Questions:

·       What burden am I currently trying to carry in my own strength?

·       How does my body and attitude reveal that stress is taking over?

·       What would it look like to practically “cast” this burden onto the Lord?

Prayer

Lord, I cast my deadlines, expectations, and stress onto You. Sustain me with Your strength, steady my heart, and help me work diligently with a calm trust in Your care. Amen.
