God’s Timing vs. Your Urgency [Sales Professional #163]
Scripture
“For still the vision awaits its appointed time… If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come.” — Habakkuk 2:3 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales rewards urgency—speed to the lead, quick follow-up, aggressive timelines. But God often works on a slower, wiser timetable. When you feel desperate for movement, growth, or answers, God may be saying, “Wait for the appointed time.”
Waiting is not inactivity; it is active trust.
It means:
Staying faithful even when results lag
Continuing to sow seeds even when harvest feels delayed
Believing God is preparing things you cannot see
Surrendering your timelines to His wisdom
What feels slow to you is not slow to God—it is precise. His timing is perfect, even when your urgency is intense. Trust Him with the pace.
Reflection Questions
Where am I frustrated with God’s timing?
Am I equating “slow” with “not working”?
How can I practice active trust this week?
Prayer
Lord, align my sense of timing with Yours. Help me trust that Your delays are not denials and that Your timing is always perfect. Amen.
