Devotional
Some days you don’t have your best. You’re tired, discouraged, or mentally foggy. You may feel like a “bruised reed” or a “faintly burning wick”—fragile and close to breaking.
But Jesus is gentle with the weak. He does not break bruised reeds or snuff out faint flames. He strengthens the weak, lifts the weary, and restores the fainthearted. Your worth does not drop on your bad days. God’s love does not dim when your performance does.
Give yourself grace in the same way Christ gives it to you. Do what you can with integrity, rest where needed, and trust Him to carry you through. Weak days do not define you—they reveal your need for Him.

How harshly do I judge myself when I’m not at my best?
What would it look like to receive Christ’s gentleness today?
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for Your gentleness toward my weakness. When I feel fragile, hold me. Restore my strength and remind me that my worth comes from You, not my performance. Amen.
