Scripture: “Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” — Hebrews 12:1 (ESV)
Devotional
It’s easy to compare your production, listings, or network to other brokers. Social media, awards, and office chatter all fuel the temptation to measure your worth against someone else’s success. But comparison is a thief—of joy, focus, and gratitude.
God has given you a specific race to run. Your mix of clients, deals, and opportunities is unique. When you fixate on someone else’s track, you lose sight of where God has you. You may assume you’re behind when, in reality, He is preparing you for something different.
The writer of Hebrews doesn’t say, “Run their race better.” He says, “Run the race set before you.” Your responsibility is not to outdo others, but to be faithful with what God has entrusted to you.
Reflection Questions:
· In what areas do I most often compare myself to other brokers?
· What would change if I focused more on faithfulness than on comparison?
Prayer
Jesus, free me from the trap of comparison. Help me to celebrate others’ success while staying committed to the unique race You’ve set before me. Amen.
