Hospitality in Your Interactions [Sales Professional #68]

Hospitality in Your Interactions [Sales Professional #68]

Scripture: “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers.” — Hebrews 13:2 (ESV)

Devotional

Hospitality is more than hosting people in your home; it is creating a sense of welcome, safety, and care wherever you are—including your workplace. Every meeting, call, or presentation can be shaped by a hospitable spirit.

Hospitality in sales looks like:

• Making others feel at ease, not on edge.

• Being prepared and respectful of their time.

• Offering clarity instead of complexity.

• Remembering details about them as people, not just as accounts.

When people feel welcomed rather than managed, they are more open, honest, and receptive. You model the heart of God—who welcomes us into His presence—when you create relational “space” where others feel valued and at home.

Your attitude can turn a cold transactional encounter into a warm human connection that honors Christ.

Reflection Questions:

·       Do people feel “at home” or on guard when they interact with me?

·       How can I practically show hospitality in my next meeting or call?

·       What would it look like to treat each client interaction as a chance to host, not just to sell?

Prayer

Father, make me hospitable in spirit. Help me create spaces—physical and relational—where others feel seen, respected, and welcomed. Let my hospitality reflect Your welcome to us in Christ. Amen.
