Scripture: “Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.” — 1 Corinthians 4:2 (ESV)
Devotional
Sales professionals handle money in many ways—pricing, discounts, commission structures, expense reports, reimbursements, and sometimes direct payments. In all these areas, God calls you to be a faithful steward.
Faithfulness means you do what is right even when you could easily hide what is wrong. It means you don’t manipulate numbers, pad expenses, misclassify items, or take advantage of loopholes. It means treating company resources and client funds with the same care you’d want others to show with your own.
Money tests the heart. Jesus said you cannot serve both God and money. In sales, where income and incentives are closely tied to performance, this tension is felt daily. But when you handle finances with integrity, you declare, “I trust God more than I trust gain.”
Stewardship is worship. Let your financial decisions reflect your devotion to Christ.
Reflection Questions:
· Are there any financial practices in my work that need to be brought into the light?
· How can I be more faithful with the money I handle for my company and clients?
· What might it look like to trust God rather than compromise for profit?
Prayer
Lord, help me be faithful with every dollar I touch. Guard my heart from greed, compromise, and shortcuts. Let my handling of money demonstrate trust in You and respect for others. Amen.
