Integrity in Negotiations [Residential Broker #79]

Integrity in Negotiations [Residential Broker #79]

Scripture: “A truthful witness saves lives.” — Proverbs 14:25 (ESV)

Devotional

Negotiations can bring out the best and worst in real estate. This is where pressure intensifies, emotions rise, and temptations to manipulate details or “spin” narratives quietly surface. But a Christian broker negotiates differently—anchored in truth, clarity, and honor.

Honest negotiation does not mean weak negotiation. Truth strengthens your position because it establishes credibility. When clients, agents, and partners trust your word, they trust your offers. When your communication is straightforward, deals become smoother and conflicts decrease.

Be a truthful witness in every negotiation—represent facts accurately, communicate clearly, and avoid tactics rooted in pressure or deception. Your integrity may not always produce the fastest result, but it will always produce the best foundation.

In every offer, counter, or objection, let truth guide your words and Christ govern your tone.

Reflection Questions:

·       Where do I feel tempted to “spin” facts in negotiations?

·       What does truthful representation look like in my current deals?

·       How can I model Christ during negotiation conversations?

Prayer

Lord, guide my words in negotiation. Help me remain truthful, honorable, and wise. Let my integrity bring peace, clarity, and blessing to every deal. Amen.
